BREAST AUGMENTATION

Augmentation mastoplasty is a procedure that uses a silicone implant to change the shape and size of the breasts. There are different approaches and placement planes.

We use Rapid Recovery techniques, with minimal incisions and no drains.

You may be a candidate for this surgery if:

  • You are in good health and are not pregnant or breastfeeding
  • you have real expectations
  • Your breasts are fully developed
  • Do you feel that your breasts are very small?
  • You lost shape and volume after pregnancy, weight loss or due to age
  • You notice that the upper part of your breasts does not appear “empty”
  • Your breasts are asymmetrical
  • One of the two breasts developed differently
What does a breast augmentation not achieve?

Correct very drooping breasts. In this case, it is recommended to perform a mastopexy or lifting. This can be done during this same surgery.

INCISION

  • periareolar
  • In the inframammary fold

The choice will depend on the preference of the surgeon and the particular anatomy of each patient.

Where are they placed?
  • Behind the Gland: in patients with enough tissue to hide the prosthesis
  • Behind the Pectoralis Major Muscle: in thinner patients and without sufficient coverage.
  • This choice will depend on the particular anatomy of each patient.
What kind of implants are used?
  • Round: can be smooth or textured
  • Anatomical (drop-shaped): they are always textured
